Must-visit places in Denver
THE HEART OF THE CITY
Union Station is one of the first places you’re likely to see in the Mile High City. It’s Denver’s main transport hub, but it’s also part of the fabric of the city. With comfy chairs, free wi-fi and even shuffleboard, it’s a much-loved spot for a catch up or to hang out for a few hours.
It’s also got a wonderful smattering of eateries. Those with a sweet tooth should take note of the small-batch Milkbox Ice Creamery and the locally-roasted Pigtrain Coffee.

SIGNATURE DISHES
Speaking of food, there are more than a few local delicacies you need to seek out when you visit. Extra juicy, extra sweet Palisade peaches are a truly delicious summertime treat that you can pick up in farmer’s markets and grocery stores.
For something more hearty, try a Colorado-style pizza. It’s got a thick braided crust drizzled in honey and piled high with toppings. Another must-eat is Colorado green chile, made with fiery Pueblo chillies.
DEEP DIVE INTO DENVER’S ART SCENE
Denver has a strong line-up of cultural institutions. The Denver Art Museum holds one of the largest Native American art collections in the U.S., along with an impressive Western American collection and lots of child-friendly interactive exhibits.
With nine galleries, outdoor terraces and a hands-on art creation studio, stepping into the Clyfford Still Museum is an immersive experience. It celebrates the prolific and accomplished abstract expressionist artist with a vast collection of his works.
Have kids in tow? Then the number one hit of the trip is sure to be the Children’s Museum Denver Marsico Campus. Everything here is designed with little ones in mind, from a baby artists session to the epic outdoors adventure forest for older kids.
