How to get from the airport to the city centre?

Frankfurt airport is one of the busiest in Europe and is approximately 17km from the city centre. The simplest method for getting into the city from the airport is by S-Bahn, a light rail, that takes you directly to Frankfurt's main station in 10 minutes. A one-way ticket costs 4.50€.

Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport. The trip from Frankfurt airport to the city centre (and vice versa) takes between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs up to 30 Euro.

Bus: A large number of bus connections are available for getting to and from the airport. You'll find bus stops opposite to Terminal 1 (Arrivals level) and Terminal 2 (Level 2). The journey to the city centre takes around 30 minutes and costs from 2 Euro.

Do I need a Visa to visit Frankfurt?

If you’re a U.S. citizen, a valid passport is required for travel to all E.U. member states. A visa, however, is not required for either tourist or business stays.
