John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport is the main airport in New York. There are many transport options available from JFK Airport to the city centre.

  1. Metro: There is a subway service from the Airport to Midtown Manhattan. To get to the subway, you will need to take the airport’s internal train. It will get you to the nearest subway station. The journey should take you no longer than 1 hour and cost no more than $7.
  2. Taxi: The famous yellow taxis are available at the airport. They will take you to downtown Manhattan for around $45. Unlike everywhere else, the taxi journey can prove to be the longest option. It may take you up to 2 hours to get to town if you get stuck in peak traffic.
  3. Bus: There are buses available at the airport. They can be time-consuming as they stop often along the way. The journey to the city centre may take up to 1.5 hours and cost around $11.
