Manchester Airport is located 13km/8 miles south of Manchester city centre with quick and easy travel links to and from. The most common options to get in and out are by taxi, bus or train.
Taxi: A fleet of Manchester licensed “black cab” taxis operates from Manchester Airport. Taxi ranks are located just outside at all three Terminals. No booking is required. The journey to the city centre takes around 20 minutes and will cost between £24-£29.
Bus: Manchester Airport is well-served by a network of local and regional buses, running daily from early morning to late night; including weekends and bank holidays. Manchester Airport is linked to the city centre by a 24-hour Stagecoach bus service which can be booked online.
Train: The station is located at the heart of the airport campus, which means passengers have easy access to all the terminals. Trains from Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly station in the city centre take around 20 minutes. They run every 10 minutes, 7 days a week and cost from £5-£17.
